Industrial roller doors

What is an industrial roller door?

An industrial roller door (roller shutter door) is a steel door made of interlocking horizontal slats that rolls up onto a barrel above the opening. It is the most common door on warehouses, factories, workshops and shops because it is strong, secure and uses no ceiling space.

How much does an industrial roller door cost?

As a guide, a manual steel roller shutter door is around R10 000 to R45 000 and a heavy-duty industrial roller shutter around R10 000 to R50 000. Price depends on the opening size, steel gauge, finish and whether you want a motor. Send us the width and height on WhatsApp for an exact quote.

Roller door or sectional overhead door: which is better?

Roller doors are tougher, more secure and need less headroom. Sectional doors insulate and seal better and look more modern. For most warehouses and workshops a roller door is the practical choice; for loading docks, cold chain and showrooms a sectional door often wins.

Can you make roller doors for very large openings?

Yes. We size the curtain, barrel, guides and motor for the opening, and add wind locks on large or exposed doors.

Repairs & call-outs

Do you repair all brands of industrial doors?

Yes. We repair roller shutters, sectional doors, high-speed doors, fire shutters and motors regardless of who made or installed them.

How quickly can you get to us?

Breakdowns that stop your operation or leave your building unsecured get priority. Call (083) 666-9995 and we will give you an arrival time.

How much does a roller door repair cost?

Most roller shutter door repairs cost between about R3 500 and R15 000, depending on the fault: springs, motor, slats, guides or bottom rail. We confirm the price before any major work.

Why is my roller door so heavy to lift?

The springs have lost tension or one has broken. This is one of the most common faults and is usually fixed on the first visit.

My motorised door hums but won't move. What's wrong?

Often it is a fault in the motor brake, gearbox, limit switches or the door itself binding. Switch off the power and call us; do not keep pressing the button.

Can I send photos of the problem?

Yes, please do. WhatsApp photos or a short video to 083 666 9995 so we can bring the right spares.

Which motor brands do you repair and install?

We work on Centurion Systems, ET Systems, DACE, Digidoor, GfA ELEKTROMATEN, Nice, Somfy, Marantec, LiftMaster (Chamberlain), SOMMER and BFT operators, among others. See our roller door motors page for details.
